Budding Australian songstress Owl Eyes released her Nightswim EP back in April and has since caught the attention of talented producers who are transforming her pop sensibilities into a virtual chimera of sounds. With the likes of Giraffage and Goldroom already remixing her tracks, Owl Eyes has decided to release a remix EP, aptly titled Nightmixes. Along with the aforementioned artists, fellow countrymen and ‘dance floor weapon’ The Aston Shuffle has given “Golden Lies” a bouncy new update. Leading in with a driving house beat, the mix finds it’s groove before Owl Eyes’ sultry vocals caress the listenener over shimmering synths. The Aston Shuffle manages to toe the line between chilled indie-dance and groovy deep house for a sound that I find altogether intoxicating. Check out the mix below and head over to iTunes should you feel the need to purchase the Nightmixes EP after absorbing the addicting sounds.
