I made the mistake of thinking Mikky Ekko was a female vocalist at first listen. Shame on me and thanks to those more astute listeners who weren’t led astray. Mikky’s single “Pull Me Down” has plagued my memory (in a good way) by living as that song that perpetually gets stuck in your head. The pleading chorus, “Puuuull meee dowwn if you waant to…” is simply too good to leave. The original, produced by Clams Casino, has a slower R&B vibe that Ryan Hemsworth has lost in favor of something a bit more upbeat. Hemsworth has been making extremely sexy remixes as of late, perfect for that night time lovin’ and Mikky Ekko fits his musical stylings perfectly. So hit play and the smooth sounds below.
