Two Door Cinema Club is gearing up for the release of their anticipated new album, Beacon, following their highly successful debut album Tourist History. TDCC has found a formula that works for them and they carry that upbeat, indie-rock jaunt throughout Beacon. Beginning with their single “Next Year” which has already caught huge attention online, TDCC rollicks through a slew of tracks that brings back the nostalgic sounds from Tourist History. As I said before, their isn’t anything groundbreaking in terms of new sounds on this album, but is that really a bad thing?
Beacon was recorded in Los Angeles with acclaimed producer Jacknife Lee (REM, Bloc Party), and will be released on September 4th through Glassnote Records. The album will be available to stream up until release. Listen to the album below and let us know what you think of the new sounds!
