Watching this video can you feel your inner child calling back to you, somewhere in the bowels of your brain that you banished it to? I mean, I can. It’s sitting in its little forgotten den, clawing out its arm and screaming: “FALCOR, MOTHERFUCKING FALCOR!” And then giddily pissing itself in glee.

Well, at least that’s how I feel after watching Story of the Running Wolf’s new, high budget take on their stunning synth-pop single, “Stratospheric”. Featuring no fewer than three movie references that will make an 80s child recall the heady days when everything felt so fucking promising (including 16 Candles, Dark Crystal and The Neverending Fucking Story). SOTRW’s video runs the gambit on your childhood experience, heeding you to no longer ‘dance with a heavy heart’.

“Stratospheric” is deeply funny, including one moment where all the characters form Dark Crystal pop out behind a tree that made me burst out in laughter; and some great, coordinated flying on Falcor (MOTHERFUCKING FALCOR) that is just perfect. Plus, the cast is all rather sexy in their own regard, and it features some pretty, filthy, wonderful shirtless centaur action that ends up distracting me for quite some time. Oh boy, if a video made me type that, than you really have to check it out.
