Making innovative and genre-switching music was Habstrakt‘s thing in 2015. Mastering the classic filthy dubstep sound a few years back, the French artist has since been experimenting with murky, bass-filled house cuts – and to great effect. Just last month he continued the trend, dropping the outrageously good “My People” EP through Never Say Die. 

Broken into four tracks, this forward-thinking creation has been lapped up by fans so far. Moving from the sparky title cut to the edit-laden “Cheezus”, it then features the banging “Back” and the vibe-filled “She Goes.” This collection is full of imagination, and really stands out as one of last year’s bass best bits.
