Video game producers have figured out a thing or two about marketing games to the masses, and the newest tactic to produce results has been to recruit top level EDM talent to help produce the soundtracks. Skrillex and Pretty Lights have both seen remixes make it to the pixel world with Syndicate and SSX respectively. With the upcoming release of Halo 4, it’s no surprise some big artists were recruited to make some original sounds for the classic game. This time, it’s rising stars Alvin Risk and KOAN Sound who answered the call and produce results.

Alvin Risk took on “Nemesis,” dropping his usual massive bombs on his take of the alien track. And once you reach the ‘Infected’ drop, all hell breaks loose as extraterrestrial plasma guns and grenade explosions blast off in all directions. KOAN sound takes a decidedly lighter tone with his remix of Neil Davidge’s “Green & Blue,” opting for a more of a down-tempo glitch-hop feel. Quite a bit of difference between the two tracks, but that just means there is something in there for everyone to enjoy.
