If you’re like every other young person in America, you’ve probably been told numerous times that your life should work out something like go to school, graduate, get a job, find a wife, have kids, buy a house. After all, isn’t that the so-called American dream? But I warn you, kids, not to go down that road so easily. It’s easy to get stuck wasting your young years trying to conform to the societal norms – and it’s time to break out of those bonds and shake things up.
West coast producer/DJ Sound Remedy has done just that with his electronic take on London Grammar‘s “Wasting My Young Years,” turning the single into a bouncy joy ride of bleeps and bloops – a poignant point of difference to the grandiose melodies and vocals in the original. However, take it from the viewpoint I provide in the first paragraph and don’t be afraid to inject some fun and liveliness into life and go do something worthwhile – otherwise you’ll be left wondering what you could have done to make your wonder years more worthwhile.
