Our musical hairs bristled last week at the preview release of The Bloody Beetroots‘ new single, “Out Of Sight“, featuring none other than the infamous ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and Youth. From the second I pressed play, I knew this would be one massive, anthemic musical ride.
Paul has always been fascinated with electronic music, having dabbled with some 8-bit sounds back in the 80’s on his solo project McCartney II. However, “Out Of Sight” sees a much more evolved perspective on EDM as
Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, the man behind The Bloody Beetroots, weaves a masterfully melodic tapestry of stadium heavy EDM and rock sounds behind which Paul’s throaty vocals soar. At this point it seems there is no type of musical genre Paul McCartney hasn’t been able to master and while The Beatles continue to be an inspiring legacy beyond their musical lifetimes, expect Paul and Sir Bob to bring to life a new passion for their sounds in the next generation of music listeners.
“I’m really proud to have had the chance to work with such a legendary figure,” Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo said about the collaboration with Paul McCartney and Youth. “I was impressed by the creative energy in the room when you get three musicians from three different generations vibing together in the studio.”
