World renowned producer and DJ Paul Van Dyke has just released his sixth studio album in the form of EVOLUTION, and it is full to the brim of electro-trance glory. This is Paul’s first major offering since 2007, and PVD manages to stay true to his sound while mixing it up with some amazing artists. PVD throws some down interesting sounds when he team up with Adam Young (from Owl City), and leans a little on the emo side of things. But tracks such as “Symmetries” and “Verano” featuring Austin Leeds shows Paul in top form.

“EVOLUTION isn’t about feeding the machine. I started to record it when I felt the time was right and that was not perhaps the same as when the industry expected it. When I began to work on the album, there was no deadline and no predetermined musical remit. No managers saying, ‘You need to work with this person/that person.’ What came, came, and I found using this process exhilarating. Given the method, the fact that EVOLUTION‘s jigsaw has all slotted into place so well is the ultimate satisfaction for me.”
