It’s been a while, but the Red Hot Chili Peppers have just given us a little taste of what we can expect on their upcoming album I’m With You, expected for release August 26th. This is the first chance we get to hear what the RHCP will sound like without long time guitarist John Frusciante. Replacing him is Josh Klinghoffer, who has sat in with the band in the past. If “The Adventures of Raindance Maggie” is any indication of the direction of the album, expect to see a more mellowed out alt-rock mix from the group. It seems gone are the days of the harder funk sounds of Red Hot that we all fell in love with. Nostalgia aside, if you like what you hear make sure you pick up the song on iTunes.
