The end of summer hitches ominously onto the wings of the humid breeze this afternoon, the last hot breath of my favorite months caressing my skin like the lover I miss so much. My skin prickles despite the sun, an ominous tingling spreading slowly through my body. It’s that strange and intrinsic feeling that surfaces when you’re about to turn the page on your life; perhaps because I habitually measure my life by summers, I know that a chapter is drawing to an end. The scenery beyond is glimmering with unknown possibilities, and on a day like today I can do nothing but take a long sip of my third drink (because why not, on a glorious Saturday afternoon?) and smile with the wondrous mystery of it all. Sit back, relax and talk with friends; the worries begin to melt innocently away from the mixture of good company and liquid courage. Later, we will all have long let go of our ominous troubles and we’ll be stumbling to the beach, getting our legs wet and throwing our heads back and dancing in fluid, reckless abandon because we have decided to embrace everything, even an end, because there will be good times ahead.

SNBRN‘s remix of Morgan Page‘s beautifully vocal “In The Air” provides a fresh take on the classic that seems to be the perfect soundtrack for sunny days.
