Welcome to The Daily Swim, a running series on The Sights and Sounds. As a daily swimmer, water has always served as a dichotomy to my psyche – wholly and unswervingly calming in it’s vast simplicity yet at the same time able to harness and create massive amounts of energy. Which is exactly the type of music The Daily Swim will feature – no fuss posts with tracks from great artists that serve as both calming and energizing to get you through the deep end of your day.
Whoa, it’s been a minute since I posted one of these, but I suppose I haven’t been swimming much lately either. The winter always changes that as the cold drives me indoors and into the waiting waters. Today’s Daily Swim features Oxford-based Pixel Fix, whose atmospheric, dreamy rock vibes drip of a West Coast sunset. I’m somewhat reminded of The Neighbourhood here, but that’s not a bad thing by any means. Enjoy “Awake” below and let Pixel Fix leaves a trail of hazy magic through your brain.
