It’s hard to imagine there are “Evil People” in the world with music this good.

Perhaps if all the evil was drenched in music akin to Lycio, things would begin to change.

Maybe they already have, reflected in lead singer Mendez’ contemplative and piercing lyrics. “Evil People” brings an upbeat dance sensibility that contrasts its sinister name and it’s this juxtapose that makes it so appealing.

“And I love it.”

The key to it all – drenched in music made with love how can anyone harbor hate?

One thing I do know, as long as there are good people making great music the evil people will always be one step behind.

Mastered at Metropolis Studios by Stuart Hawkes (Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Rudimental, Amy Winehouse), “Evil People” is the third offering from the Birmingham, UK trio. The single beautifully encapsulates the electricity and energy of Lycio’s live performances, while balancing the indie and electronic instrumentation the band is becoming well known for.
