The Floozies funked up Concord Music Hall on the last night of February 2015. Opening for them was Russ Liquid who set the stage with a groovy dance floor atmosphere. I’m not sure, but I think this guy can play every horned instrument available. Using the flute, trumpet and saxophone he transitioned from mellow moods to dark murky dub trap beats. Russ Liquid did an excellent job prepping the crowd for headlining act.

The Floozies put on a hell of a show for the wide ranged audience of headies, hippies, hipsters, house heads, bro’s, bassheads, and average Joe’s. These biological brothers put the crowd in a funkadelic state and provided a jazzy rhythmic atmosphere throughout the night. The crowd got the funk down to syncopated blasting beats. The Floozies production and audio/visuals were absolutely phenomenal. They were top-notch meeting the highest of standards – I felt as if I was watching a movie.

And just when the crowd thought the show was over, these guys had pulled an ace from up their sleeve, shocking the crowd with an encore appearance with none other than GRIZ! They jammed out vibrantly for the last couple songs leaving the audience with stimulated spirits.

The two brothers; Matt Hill, guitarist, and Mark Hill, drummer – have blown up in 2014 and continue making waves with their groovy sound. This is the final week of the “Do Your Thing Tour” which started in January and ends March 7th in their hometown of Lawrence, KS. I recommend checking them out if possible there are four remaining shows. Special guests include Manic Focus or Russ Liquid and maybe some surprise others! The final four are listed below.

March 4 – Lexington, KY Comic Charlies
March 5 – Louisville, KY Diamond Concert Hall
March 6 – St, Louis, MO 2720 Cherokee
March 7 – Lawrence, KS Granada Theatre
