One of my all-time favorite music videos is the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight,Tonight.” I remember watching that video over and over on MTV and playing Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness until there were grooves etched in the cd. With that said, RAC is one of my favorite remix producers. I’ve loved every remix they drop and they consistently pick great songs to remix. So when I saw that RAC dropped a Smashing Pumpkins cover of “1979” over the weekend in celebration of his 10,000 Facebook Fan, I nearly lost it. Beautifully re-imagined, RAC’s version of the track features a head bobbing upbeat indie/pop beat featuring vocals by Liz Anjos, wife of RAC bossman Andre Anjos. Check it out below.
