And why not? This world is a fucking beautiful place. Amidst the atrocities we as humans have created on this planet, there are still places that exist ‘just because’. They are beautiful places, sanctuaries of meditation, galleries of abstract frescoes and swaths of color, tapestries of geographical history. Because they are there, we are here. Because they exist, we exist. It’s as simple as “Because”.

Whether you’re a fan of The Beatles or not (and believe me, I know you’re out there), there’s no denying that Bobby Nourmand has crafted an absolutely captivating deep house mix of “Because”. Why’d he do it? He might answer just because. But whatever the reason, I’m glad he did, balancing the modulating sitars over sinister bass lines and haunting vocals that do every bit of justice for this generation as the original.
