After much anticipation the time has finally come for another Excision release, this time coming our way in the form of Codename X, an eleven-track thrilling experience. What more would you expect from one of the leaders in bass music? The LP kicks off in true Excision style with a ground shaking title track, opening with an evil industrial synths and distorted guitar, it then develops further to be dominated by the usual sub-soaked kick drums and ferocious synths that tear through the higher frequencies.

Excision also teams up with a handful of fellow bass heads, with the likes of The Frim, Downlink and Space Laces all making an appearance with “X Up”, “Robo Kitty” and “Push It Up” respectively.
