I hadn’t heard much about Brown & Gammon before I came upon their new retro-synth injected jam “Dark Matter,” so I decided to do a little research. Here’s the mini bio I got from their Soundcloud page:

“We are now a duo, complete with unnecessary vintage synthesisers and guitars. Expect unnecessary vintage sounds in amongst the usual experimentation.”

This, I thought to myself, seems absolutely apropos to the thrilling throwback sounds that emanate from “Dark Matter.” The UK duo have done a fantastic job with the bouncy bass riffs and vocal samples – suddenly I feel transported back to the neon glow of a vintage 80’s flick. Or maybe I’m sitting passenger next to Ryan Gosling in Drive. Either way, crank up the volume, press play, and prepare to cruise.
