UK producer Star Slinger will be making a New Year’s Eve stop in Chicago (and damnit if I won’t be here for it), and is set to release 4 new tracks leading up to the event. Each release will pay tribute to one of his favorite divas, and “I/IV” sees Anita Baker getting the funky Star Slinger treatment. Sampling from Anita’s classic “Sweet Love”, Star Slinger throws her vocals under the knife, giving them a fine mincing before pouring in some groovy bassline to anchor the whole thing down.
