is hosting its inaugural “Forever Festival” this Friday in Sterling Heights,MI, just outside Detroit. Forever Festival is a one day getaway set outdoors at the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, just a short drive away from Lake St. Clair and its beautiful scenery. React did an awesome job at putting together a pretty eclectic lineup and includes some great electronic artists akin to much of the different styles found at React’s North Coast Music Festival. While progressive house and some electro/dub styles are covered by artists such as main headliner   and  , the festival also sports some slightly more organic sound with a live set from the tribal and seductive trio,  .

The festival is sure to have some good times in store, and one of the coolest and more unique things about it is its size and location. Freedom Hill Amphitheatre has a capacity of 7,200 and recently received roughly $2 Million in renovations, enhancing its look, feel and sound. Set in beautiful Michigan terrain, not 20 minutes from Lake St. Clair, Freedom Hill Amphitheatre will surely be a magical destination for anyone who to really get down while maintaining a touch of serenity.  Freedom Hill Amphitheatre has a capacity of 7,200 and recently received roughly $2 Million in renovations, enhancing its look, feel and sound.

With artists like Calvin Harris, Project 46, and Morgan Page on the bill, progressive house fans will be blessed with plenty of energetic and uplifting tunes. This is an awesome opportunity for Project 46 to blow people away, as they will be closing out the night on the Eternity stage, going up against Flux Pavilion for the late night spot. Suprisingly, Calvin Harris will not actually be closing out the evening at the festival. He will be playing an 8 PM set time and bringing his ruckus back to the Midwest with some new and awesome production that’s been circulating since EDC – Check out his remix to Fatboy Slim’s Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat in our festival preview playlist.

Forever Festival is also sporting some really cool local talent, namely MuzzY, a Detroit DJ who dabbles in Soul and Glitch-hop production as well as some booty shakin’ future funk.

We hope you make it out to Forever Festival this weekend and experience one of the last great outdoor festivals this summer here in the Midwest. If you can’t make it be sure to live vicariously with our prime selection of tines from this electric lineup and check out our post-festival recap coming soon!
