[HOUSE/MELODIC DUBSTEP] Seven Lions and Myon & Shane 54 ft. Tove Lo - "Strangers"

Progressive house, meet melodic dubstep – you guys will become great friends in the future. That’s the feeling I got after listening to the new genre smashing single “Strangers” from Seven Lions, Myon & Shane 54 and featuring Tove Lo on vocals. It’s rare that I’ll hear a new song that makes me stop everything I’m doing to just look up and listen. But that was my exact reaction as I heard the track ebb and flow between festival banger and chillstep.

The track begins on a pretty standard note, a simple 4/4 beat lead in and some driving bass to set the mood. It’s when Tove Lo’s soaring vocals pick up that you begin to feel the familiar chill of goosebumps running down your arm. And as the track builds and you feel the onset of the inevitable drop, Seven Lions steps in and throws a massive change-up with his flawless melodic dubstep sounds. Not at all what I was expecting, and the track is made all the better for bringing in some new elements out of the EDM world. This is one of my favorites of the summer – I’ve had it on repeat since it dropped – so press play and check out the massive sounds below and help it get to #1 on Hypem by giving it a heart here.
