Summertime Dance-Floor Heat: Volume I

Summertime Dance-Floor Heat: Volume I

June is exhausting. The hot, sultry air sticks to your clothing like glue. And, while late-night dancing doesn’t necessarily provide relief from the month’s brazen heat, it certainly counts as exercise. June is for romantics, star-crossed lovers, devils. June is hot. You may find yourself locked in an embrace with an unlikely partner, sweat dripping and flying from your extremities, core moving in tandem, your body racing towards a climax. Or, just as well, you may find yourself grooving on the back of a deck, reminiscing. Perhaps you allow your sensual floodgates to open wide, a wave of golden-tinged nostalgia washing over your being. It’s a funny feeling, being on the dancefloor. Why? I’m not sure. But it makes sense. Perhaps not when you see videos from the night before, perhaps not while you’re plotting your next late night escapade. But usually, at the moment, the dancefloor makes perfect sense, and it’s exactly that which makes us perpetually drawn to its allure. So listen; listen and dance and feel something.
