Without a single film project in the works, director/painter/furniture designer David Lynch is getting ready to unveil his his sophomore effort with an album titled The Big Dream. In his follow up to the eclectic Crazy Clown Time, David has brought in Swedish vocal sensation Lykke Li to croon over the haunted melody of “I’m Waiting Here.” In a track that could easily be a Twin Peaks leftover, Lykke’s dreamy vocals sway to and fro over the modern bluesy sounds. “It’s based on the blues and (the songs) start with a jam and go from there,” Lynch tells Billboard. The Big Dream is out July 16th, and while “I’m Waiting Here” is the first single off the album, it will only live as a bonus feature as the track doesn’t make the cut for the album proper.
