I hate missing concerts. As I am writing this, Lykke Li is on stage in Chicago and I am 200 miles away, out of town. I imagine she is performing “Little Bit” right now. Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li, originally born Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson,  has been enjoying some time in the spotlight recently and it looks as though there is no where for her to go but up. Her music carries a mix of pop, indie rock, and undertones of electronic elements while mixing in various instruments such as violins, tambourines, trumpets, and saxophones. Named an artist to watch by Stereogum after her EP “Little Bit” in 2007, Lykke Li has become a hot commodity on the touring scene. Now playing to sold out shows and with a 2nd appearance at Lollapalooza this year as well as a show at the World Arena coming up, Lykke doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
