Manic Focus

Manic Focus is no longer considered one of the Chi-city’s most well-kept secrets. In fact, he ditched that label a long time ago. In the past couple years alone, JMac has gone from hammering out solo heaters on the regular to collaborating with the likes of Break Science, Michal Menert, and many other talented individuals in the industry.

However, everything changes on Saturday night. Because when Manic Focus (and his full live band, rumored to include Russ Liquid and members of Break Science) takes to the stage at Chicago’s House Of Blues tonight, he will be the headlining act. This is a first for the Minnesota native, but something that he better start getting used to doing. John McCarten’s stock has been trending upwards for quite awhile now and more people seem to be suffering from Manic Focus fever nowadays than ever before. The time is now for this electronic music trendsetter – and boy is he making the most of it.

Lindsay Lowend and Marvel Years are scheduled to provide direct support for MF this evening. Which means that there will be plenty of great music from the moment the doors open until the second the venue shuts down. Bottom line, if you’re in Chicago and not getting down like a clown at Manic Focus tonight, you dropped the ball… big time.

For those of you wondering what JMac has been up to lately, check out his newest Manic Menert collab below.
