Following an exhilarating set at Riot Fest just five months earlier, post-punk revival icons, Interpol, did not hesitate to return to Chicago for seconds.

On February 7th, fans of all ages braved bitter coldness, packing the iconic Chicago Theatre to the brim for a very special performance. Currently on tour supporting their latest 2018 LP, Marauder, the band (fronted by Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler, and Sam Fogarino) surely made it worth fans’ while. Covering a diverse range of career spanning material, the group made sure to touch of pieces from each of their six full-length studio releases.

With a set that was simply enjoyable from start to finish, material from the band’s critically-acclaimed 2002 release, “Turn On the Bright Lights” seemingly evoked the strongest response from the crowd that Thursday night. Tracks such as “NYC” and “Obstacle 1” served as highlights of the night for many, with additional treats in 2004’s “Take You On a Cruise” and 2007’s “Rest My Chemistry“. To no surprise, Interpol fired on all cylinders with effortless precision and an organic emulation of formidable tone.
