Amidst the chaos of the last two years, it’s apparent that the festival community is craving the healing atmosphere of sunshine, dirt, music, magic, and synchronicity that is Lightning in a Bottle. A cornerstone of the festival circuit, LIB 2022 is gearing up to be the most exciting reunion that we’ve desperately needed. So many incredible memories and connections are created at this event each year, we can only dream of the lasting relationships and inspirations that will bloom from the upcoming festival. Lightning in a Bottle means so much to the community it serves and it feels like such a familiar comfort to be returning to it in the near future.

At the last Lightning in a Bottle in 2019, the Do Lab debuted its new venue and experienced a great success and attendee approval on site. Tucked alongside the Buena Vista Lake in Southern California, the festival will be returning for a second time Memorial Day Weekend on May 25-30. Since 2006, Lightning in a Bottle has been one of the most popular festivals to gather and celebrate life and existence, a getaway from the mundane.

Walking through Lightning in a Bottle often feels like the experience of transforming into who you want to be, as well as observing where you’ve been. It’s a forgiving space for first time festival goers, as well as a cultivation of high end art and entertainment that will stimulate even the most jaded festival pros. It feels like listening to your favorite band- you know all the lyrics and it feels comfortable, but you might pick up on some new meanings behind the words. Navigating the LIB grounds with your shoulders held high, you have the ability to choose how to play with your reality. Strangers and friends swirl around you as thousands of adventures and communities overlap.

The name of the festival itself pays homage to the light that can spark in a container, or the realizations and new perspectives we experience when we take the steps to be in a creative and intentional environment. What elements add to a container, or in this case, “the bottle?” LIB’s extremely recognizable stages have grown over time, but have remained authentic and cohesive. The Lightning, Thunder, and Woogie stages return as familiar portals to loyal attendees and their offerings this year are nothing short of intentionally curated magic.

This year the lineup is an incredible cocktail of house music, bass music, and more with headliners Glass Animals, Kaytranada, GRiZ, SG Lewis, Purity Ring, Chet Faker, Monolink and more on the Lightning Stage. The Thunder stage will be booming with the sounds of Big Wild, CloZee, Ekali, G Jones B2B EPROM, LSDream, Mr. Carmack and OPIOU among other incredible artists. Lastly, tucked away in the Woogie stage, techno and house lovers will flock to the enticing sounds of Black Coffee, Four Tet, Seth Troxler, Maya Jane Coles, VNSSA, Lubelski, SOHMI, Kyle Watson, Marques Wyatt and so much more.

The carefully selected spiritual workshops and talks lend to LIB’s reputation as an incubator of new thought for those who seek out knowledge and inspiration. The learning kitchen, a LIB staple, was busy all day long with hands on workshops on food and herbs. Seminars on yoga, breathwork, meditation, and expression through the arts turned attendees into students. The focus on transformation fused with such an enticing lineup, makes LIB such an important player in the festival community. Transformation on site is accessible without being overbearing, palatable to the general public and still powerful.

Most of all, the most important aspect of LIB is you! Get your tickets by following this link: https://www.libfestival.org/tickets and we will see you out there!
