The stacked streaming lineup includes performances by Kaytranda, Autograf, TOKiMONSTA, Tycho, Clozee, and many more!
Dust off your totems and break out the harem pants, Lightning In A Bottle is returning, one way or another, this Memorial Day Weekend!
The event, which was set to take place near Bakersfield, CA before being cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, is a staple of West Coast festival culture and beloved by many. In the age of COVID, that just means we get to camp out in the comfort of our living rooms. Couch fort, anyone?
In addition to streaming performances by top shelf artists, DGTL LIB will also be bringing their arsenal of educational and movement teachers to the digital landscape. Ranging from topics such as Coffee Watercoloring to Sourdough Bread baking, Flow Yoga to Kundalini, there will be something for everyone.
In addition, longstanding LiB festival favorites including The Fungineers, The Jive Joint, The Grand Artique, and more will do live (streaming) performances throughout the weekend.
Do Lab, continually a pioneer in the festival space, will also bring to life virtual versions of their beloved stages like the Woogie and Lightning Stages, in partnership Vita Motus Design Studio. The Twitch stream will be rigged via Unreal Engine technology, so those who tune in can expect to see full-scale models of the stages rendered in real-time.
“For the first time ever, a branded festival environment has been recreated in a gaming engine to be used for live broadcast,” said Heather Shaw, CEO of Vita Motus Design Studio. “We at Vita Motus think that Lightning in a Bottle is an ideal environment to showcase our realtime rendering capabilities because of its completely unique architecture, iconic design, and immersive content.”
Watch all the performances, workshops, talks, and more via LIB’s Twitch channel.
