Sometimes life just doesn’t give you a single breath of fresh air as you struggle under the constant demands of life, surrounded by impending deadlines and expectations – drowning under the pressures of all that needs to be done. I see it everywhere – hell, I’m guilty of it on a daily basis – repeating the words in a myriad of ways that express every feeling but that of actual relaxation: “I’m too busy.” How many times have you had a project due by week’s end or a passed up spending time with friends because of some other work obligation. We, as Americans, fill up our lives with all this work that most of us think contains meaning, but ends up being just fruitless pains to get… what? I’m not quite sure yet. More money? Maybe. More time off? Hardly. As if working just to say we are working will somehow pay off at the end of our ride.

No, that can’t be the way it goes from here on out. Holding off living our lives just so that everyone else out there knows “you’re too busy with work and deadlines to do anything actually meaningful.” So it’s time to present you with an excuse to take three minutes and just retreat into your head to find some peace and quiet. Sci-Fi Scheme has taken Zedd‘s “Find You” and given it a stripped down symphonic mix that captures the power of the original, but with a completely different instrumentation. Preferring trap inspired percussion and dreamy, almost ambient-like background synths, Sci-Fi Scheme highlights the vocals in his take, bringing the emotion front and center. It’s a slice of calm, wedged between the lunch meetings and social media updates, and it’s much welcomed today.
