If you live in the Midwest chances are you’ve heard of Summer Camp Music Festival.
The biggest Midwest music festival is back this 2018 and is looking tremendous.
With seven stages this music festival has the perfect blend of electronic and jam tunes that draws a crowd of around 20,000 from all across the U.S. Three days of Moe. & Umphrey’s McGee, two sets of the infamous Phil Lesh & the Terrapin Family Band, Diplo, Tipper, STS9, Greensky Bluegrass, Action Bronson, and so many more are scheduled to play this Memorial Day weekend.
Three full days of sunshine, music, amazing vibes, and unforgettable memories are all born within the Three Sisters Park venue.
The fun starts before you even enter! Some of the best friends are made within the line waiting to enter Summer Camp 2018.
More Than Music
Not only is there amazing music and art to keep you preoccupied but also there is Field Day! Four different teams face off, head to head throughout the festival competing in a number of activities. Tug-0-War, Arm Wrestling, Dodgeball, and a Donut Eating contest are only a few contests that the teams can compete in. After the fun and games are over the teams celebrate with a victory keg & a pizza party. None-the-less, its borderline impossible to be bored at Summer Camp.
Some of my favorite emerging bands also happen to be in the line-up. I highly suggest seeing Steady Flow, Big Something, and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades. Each one of these bands pack a punch of funky jams that’ll is sure to make your hips swing. Strings, drums, and electronic elements accompany Steady Flow & Big Something along with a stellar horns section. Like I said, highly recommend checking these guys out.
May 25th – 27th you can immerse you and your friends into an unforgettable experience at the Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. Make sure you bring a tent, a tarp, some snacks, comfortable shoes, a friend, and a smile to one of the biggest music festivals that the Midwest has to offer.
