Mind on overdrive. Repeat, repeat, repeat. There she is, judge myself, thoughts race.

My brain is stuck on loop thinking of you, I need to get “Out Of My Head”.

Raise your hand if you’ve been there before. ??

You see her (him) on your walk to work every morning. Don’t worry that you Freudian slipped her name when you asked your boss for time off.

There he (she) is again, barista-ing at your favorite coffee spot, the caffeine not even needed to start your heart racing.

She waves. He winks.

You stutter.

Fuuuuck… Time to go home and replay it over and over and over and over. It’s like the song that never ends, except the sound is a metaphorical knife stabbing at my thoughts.

But how do I?…

Sing, talk, play, paint, live when you’re all over my mind. I can’t stop thinking of you.

Food. You. Work. You. Sleep. You.

It’s time to get out of my head.

Los Angeles-based duo Loud Forest have released the official music video for their perfectly sunny indie-pop single “Out Of My Head” – a bouncy release that could compete with the best of Apple ad music.

Consisting of married couple Bernard and Rachel Chadwick, the duo collaborate as two very different artists but who both count Spoon, The Pixies, Arcade Fire and Sonic Youth as personal influences.

Equally matched as singers and performers, they craft an eclectic mix of sound that can both swirl and drive. With loud, yet minimal rock drums and ruckus melodic singing supported by electric guitars, they create textures and noises that form a sonic landscape all the while infusing classic folk and gospel elements.
