ARCADE FIRE GOES DISCO

Arcade Fire has returned! Following the announcement of a new album Everything Now out July 28th, the band has now released its second track of the year and title track to the forthcoming album, a collaboration with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter.

TURN UP THE SPEAKERS TILL THEY BREAK

Win Butler sings.

“There’s sort of an everything-nowness to life. I feel like almost every event and everything that happens surrounds you on all sides,” Win Butler said of the track earlier this afternoon on BBC’s Radio1, “It’s trying to capture some of the experiences of being alive now in all its flaws and all its glory.”

In the video for the track storefronts read “Everything Now” and children, as well as men in hazmat suits, roam the beautiful barren landscape as if they’re looking for something, perhaps serving as a grave reminder to see beauty in desolation, to turn up the music, make your own paradise, and revel in its glory.

Following the release of the full-out disco rock track the band has kept the hype coming this afternoon with the announcement that they’ll be heading on the road with the most impressive group of opening acts to date in a long time, including Broken Social Scene, Wolf Parade, Angel Olsen, Phantogram, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Grandmaster Flash.

Everything Now, co-produced by Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, is out July 28th via Columbia Records and available to pre-order now from the Arcade Fire e-store in a multitude of options.

Check out the track, new album artwork, and epic set of tour dates that are sure to be a fucking party below. Tickets are set to go on sale June 9th at 10 a.m. local time but be on the lookout for additional dates that may be announced via the group’s website.
