Whether you want to admit it or not, Daft Punk‘s recent album release has changed the way producers are approaching their music. Within just the last couple weeks you can already pick up on the shift that the EDM world is going through, with more and more new releases being infused with refurbished disco and funk sounds.

French producer and DJ Breakbot has released a new remix of fellow countrymen Phoenix‘s “Trying To Be Cool” that follows in that disco vein. Granted Breakbot has always had a more soulful edge, this particular remix sounds like it draws a lot of inspiration from the Random Access Memories release. Either way, his remix proves to be one of the more danceable versions out there, so check out the sounds below and enjoy.
