[EXCLUSIVE] Interview with Feenixpawl at Studio Paris
Melbourne based DJs/producers Aden Forte and Josh Soon, better known as Feenixpawl, began collaborating in 2003 and quickly realized they might have something big when they first rose to prominence with their 2005 bootleg remix of All Saints’ single “Pure Shores”. Since that time they have become international EDM sensations and have worked with names such as Kaskade, Axwell, Nervo and many others as well as having become, almost overnight, celebrities for their massive 2012 single “In My Mind,” which spent 12 weeks at Number 1 on the ARIA Club Charts and reached Number 1 on the iTunes Dance Charts.
Last week saw the Australian duo returning to the posh and highly intimate settings of Chicago’s prestigious Studio Paris. With names such as Tiesto, Avicii, and Deadmau5 having touched the decks at Paris, Feenixpawl was in great company to start their highly energized set. The Sights and Sounds had the opportunity to sit down with Josh and Aden backstage for an in-depth chat before the two talented artists took stage. Check out the video below as we talk about American accents, their hit single “In My Mind”, the drawbacks of reincarnating as a bald eagle, and what’s up next for Feenixpawl.
