[FUTURE/DANCE] Autograf ft. Janelle Kroll - "Metaphysical"

What does it mean to create your own reality? Literally to manifest things into your life? Magicians and mystics have long been creating powerfully in this way with the use of language and words. The term abracadabra literally translates to “I create as I speak” or “With these words I do create.” In ancient Greece and Roman mythology, uttering a curse upon someone held an incredible amount of power because of the intention placed into the world. By simply uttering tones through your vocal chords you physically manifest sound waves into the universe, and those sine waves carry with them intention. Don’t believe sound can have intention? Tell me that next time you’re raging your face off at a festival or crying your eyes out at a coffee shop acoustic performance. That’s a very powerful concept, and one that we can use in our daily lives to begin crafting better opportunities and experiences for ourselves.

“To us Metaphysical isn’t about the origin of the universe. It’s about the reality we create in our own lives. When we peel back the layers, we’re all just human inside.” – Autograf

Whatever your take on metaphsyics might be, there is a fundamental way that we all experience the world: by being human. Through nerves, synapses, millions of tiny electric sparks and dividing cells we perceive everything in the physical space around us. How we choose to interpret that data is entirely up to us. “The world is, of course, nothing but our conception of it.”

Along with “Metaphysical”, Autograf is beginning a new original art initiative in conjunction with their releases that started with their last single, “Running”. “Metaphysical” is represented here with an image of Twiggy. Keep reading to see why Autograph chose this pop-icon.

“We chose Twiggy as the subject, a pop-icon who challenged the societal norms of her era, encouraging people to look beyond assumed stereotypes… we’ll be making a new original art piece for all our music releases. There’s nothing more inspiring than bringing art and music together and we hope others can do the same.”
