Outside Lands 2018 Lineup Features The Weeknd, Florence and the Machine, Janet Jackson
Outside Lands — in an unveil that blends genres and generations — presents The Weeknd, Florence and the Machine, and Janet Jackson as the festival’s 2018 headliners.
This year’s event is set to take place Aug. 10 through 12 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. The lineup includes an act for every breed of music lover. Sets range from the electronic soundscapes of Odesza, Jamie XX, and Tycho to indie icons Mac Demarco, The Growlers and Portugal. The Man. Hip-hop enthusiasts might find themselves vibing to Future or Smokepurpp side-by-side with the pop textures of Carly Rae Jepsen and big room production of DJ Snake. The wide variety of genres and musical sub sects mirrors the cultural diversity within Outside Lands rich music and cultural programming, as well as such diversity within San Fransisco itself.

Outside Lands’ tenth year anniversary is this upcoming August. Passes are available for purchase 10 a.m. PST Thursday, April 5, via https://www.sfoutsidelands.com/passes/. There are allegedly between 40,000 and 60,000 festival attendees per day and tickets last year sold out; get yours fast! Face value of general admission passes are $375 plus fees. This lineup follows the recent release of The Weeknd’s “My Dear Melancholy,” album, is another step for Janet Jackson in her performance comeback, and will act as Jamie XX’s first American tour stop of the year.
The three-day event has built up a trendy reputation over the years for its unique selection of food and drinks in the heart of San Francisco. Outside Lands is partnered with Heineken, Sierra Nevada, Barefoot Wine, Hornitos Tequila, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Local food vendors bring a sense of intimacy to Outside Lands and help make the experience more tasteful all around.
