Getting to see Tame Impala at the Metro was a religious experience, bringing you back to the later Beatles/Floyd Lysergic drenched live performances you came to expect from four decades ago. Ducktails’ Matthew Mondanile of Real Estate fame reworks Lonerism single “Mind Mischief.” Mondanile gives this the low-and-slow, synth heavy treatment, while ditching the guitar pedal heaviness and drums of the original. The result is a more chill and pop oriented, but equally enjoyable romp through musical nirvana.
