I keep attempting to calm myself down over here, but this new EP from Rameses B has left me feeling like life cannot possibly get any more perfect. Filled with four cuddly compositions that will make you want to snuggle up next to your speakers, this producer’s stockpile of heavenly sounds is always a sure bet to scratch your melodic bass itch. Whether he’s relying on his dependable liquid DnB background, testing the limits of his dubstep prowess, or bravely traveling into uncharted chill-out territory, one thing is for certain, he’s damn good at manufacturing high-quality compositions – regardless of genre.

The Essence EP opens with a euphoric VIP of “Goddess” before segueing into the undeniably emotional tones of “Soul Essence.” To round out the latter half of the release, “Kiss Me” careens around the inside of your cabeza while “Nameless Existence” tickles the exterior of your eardrums ever so gently. Each song from this splendid collection relies on a different underlying theme – as evidenced by the vocal samples that come across like subliminal messaging.  It’s pretty obvious that Rameses B is so much more than just your standard EDM artist, he’s a musical visionary.
