The electronic dance music movement in Chicago has brought us names like Kaskade and Felix da Housecat, but it is also the home of local celebrity, David Chang, known as SWGGRBCK, and the upcoming duo (SWGGRBCK and ATLIS), the Regulators.  Set to bring you his latest mixes, SWGGRBCK will be taking North Coast Music Festival by storm this coming weekend on the Groupon Silent Stage 2 at 4:30pm.

With his first public show at Lasalle Power Company in June of 2011, SWGGRBCK has quickly gained popularity among EDM fans with his versatile and high energy sets.  When describing his style of music, SWGGRBCK prides himself in providing a wide genre of music that is sure to get the crowd’s hands up in the air, regardless of their preference in music style.

His newest release, in collaboration with ATLIS as the Regulators, titled Cbat (Regulators ‘Gotta Be Fresh’ Remix), reached over 6,500 listens on SoundCloud and made it to #21 on the Hype Machine charts within 2 days of its release.  On September 21st, SWGGRBCK will release his newest mixtape titled “XXI,” a type of summer-in-review with an indie/disco vibe.

Expect a high energy and charismatic set at this weekend’s fest along with the debut of the Regulator’s ‘Gotta Be Fresh’ Remix of Cbat (by Hudson Mohawke).

Here are some of our personal favorites from SWGGRBCK and the Regulators:
