There may be only one thing that could transform this shitty rainy Tuesday morning into something to be excited about. Ladies and gentleman, hold on to your seats, because Grizmatik released their single “My People” and it is epic. My head is bobbing, shoulders bouncing, heart pounding, toes tapping and I have goosebumps upon FIRST listen. I’m expecting a nitro gun to go off at any point and the crowd to go wild, then I realize its only 9am and I am sitting in my office. Talk about a letdown. This track is no letdown however, if I close my eyes I am fully submerged in an outdoor festival, sweaty and dancing my ass off with complete strangers. I need a teleportation machine right now.

Grizmatik (the funky combo of Griz and Gramatik) are back at it, doing what they do best, and the people (their people apparently) are already going nuts over this track. As one can expect from the beloved Grizmatik, “My People” has an immaculate beat throughout the whole track, multiple bone chilling drops and an elaborate mix of various instruments looped in and out of this almost 6 minute mind orgasm. I don’t think I can fully explain how god damn happy this made me this morning. “Time to move the crowd” couldn’t be more fitting lyrical drops in this song because that’s exactly what it does. And by crowd if he means make me dance at my desk, mission accomplished. I clearly love it, take a listen for yourself and tell me where it took you on this (now) fine day.
