Head phones on, world off. That’s my mantra when I dive head first into my work and design mindsets. It’s a good mantra, and one I hold dear to my heart. I listen to a lot of damn music every day. Once I hit that play button, I’m lost in a world of pixels and beats – blind to anything else that’s going on around me. Getting lost in music is one of my favorite past times, and it’s something I do daily. However, once lost it’s hard to find me and rarely does a piece of music hit me so abruptly as to halt my train of thought and violently shake me back to reality, jolting me awake to the sounds washing over my ear drums. But that’s exactly what Sweater Beats was able to accomplish with his slow motion bass mix of Kastle‘s “Anything’s Possible.” Like an alarm clock slowly drawing you out of your dream state, the vibrating bass starts soothing, caressing you gently before forcing your eyes wide open to the heavy, syncopated rhythms contained within. If it’s time for your wake up call, press play below and enjoy the sonic cup of coffee, extra strong.
