I often find myself wondering about what happened to the old Zeds Dead – then a song like “Love Me” comes along and abruptly reminds me why I’ve always held this Canadian duo’s bass music in the highest regard. After cranking out an impressive collaboration with Memorecks (“Collapse”) on their fresh-to-death Somewhere Else EP, this masterful combination of musicians were obviously beyond eager to get back in the studio with one another. Which is precisely where this magnificent tune below comes into play.

That buzzing bass line hums steadily, those airy vocals caress your inner ear ever so gently, and the synth work – while subtle at times – still brings the heat. Is it just me? Or has Zeds Dead not lost a single step? Sure, they’ve dabbled in other dance music subgenres here and there, but name a successful producer who hasn’t? I’m just rejoicing because according to my calendar it is August 21st, 2104, and the guys from Zeds Dead are still making dubstep. Hallelujah!
