Transitioning into 2013 will be zero problem for Polish three piece, Kamp!. Hell, they already got their invite to SXSW and a Beatport Chart staple – Moullinex’s killer remix of standout single Cairo. Probably a good time to mention the Kamp! self-titled debut is, simply, the best indie dance album effort since Cut Copy’s albums Zonoscope, or In Ghost Colours.

The sheer breadth of this album is fantastic, and the focus on dance friendly transitions between tracks really pays off-making the album a smooth listen from start to finish. Pulling from a vast array of mostly European influences, Kamp blends smooth French Nu-Disco, with epic Modular-like synth-scapes. There’s even some Balearic in there, not to mention some dusted-off 80’s pastiche.

In this digital age few people are offering ambitious albums with this much care and consistency.
