Los Angeles based Carousel have a knack for producing perfectly blended seasonal soundtracks that always seem to capture the aesthetic of whatever time of year it happens to be. From the mellowed synth sounds of their wintertime track “Stay Awake” to the upbeat summer-pop sensibilities of their newest release, “Not Enough,” Carousel is in tune with the movement of the seasons.

I find myself repeating the words to the chorus of this particular track quite often, “This is not enough // I can’t get enough,” as summer tends to bring out the ambitious side of me. I’m always looking for more, and Carousel seems to get that as they caress my earbuds on my morning walk to work – a perfect time to listen to the subdued synths and bouncy melody contained within.
