The final days of Summer Camp Music Festival are upon us and the they are going swimmingly. As campers slowly rise from their tents on this fourth festival day, they are relieved by the cool breeze and mild morning heat levels. I have had so many fun experiences this year at Summer Camp. From the amazing performances to the downtime while the fest temporarily shut down due to lightning, everything has been memorable. During the blackout period while music was shut down, our group ventured into the woods where we found a decorated section similar to that of the legendary Sherwood Forest. Complete with full interactive art installments, this Cosmic Kingdom provided many scampers a place to come together and create their own magic while the lightening storm passed.
Once the music returned the schedule was emended to shorter sets, going later into the night and unfortunately for many, the removal of The Roots from the lineup. I was able to catch musical arrangements by Shiba San, Grandtheft, SNBRN, Umphrey’s McGee, Savoy, EXMAG, & Slow Magic. All these artists showcased new music and routines that took my breath away. As the lights turned on in the vibe tent somewhere around 5am, I realized we still had one last night of energy to use, one last sunset but so much more music. This is GoodSex reporting on Summer Camp 2016. Stay tuned for a full recap next week.
