Venturing outside of my dubstep comfort zone is something that I don’t do very often, but every once in awhile a tune comes along that demands my recognition. Case in point, this elegant remix of Soy Sauce’s “Broken Records” from hometown heroes Louis The Child. The teenage tag team has made a remarkable amount of progress during the course of the past year and they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. As they continue to grow into their own sound, LTC is laying down the framework for the dance music of tomorrow.

With future quickly becoming EDM’s largest genre on the rise, it only made sense that Louis The Child would steer their style in this general direction. Frequently revolving around playful synth work and lighthearted melodies, this fresh brand of bass music is excitedly guiding listeners into untouched territory. Begging the question, why are you still reading this summary and not scrambling to push that free download button? C’mon, you know the drill by now people. Do I really have to walk you though it? Yeah, didn’t think so. This versatile duo is undoubtedly destined for greatness and you would be wise to keep close watch of every move they make.
