Yesterday marked an important moment for those of you 90’s music nostalgics as No Doubt released their first single for the first time in their decade-long hiatus. I’ve heard rumors that they would be getting back together for a while now, and it’s finally happened. They dropped the single Monday, but followed it up today with the official video that features the band members meeting up via their decked out semi-trucks. Lovers of “Don’t Speak” and “Spiderwebs” might be a little disappointed, however, as “Settle Down” is a bit more poppy than their 90’s sounds. Either way, I’m excited they’re back and looking forward to more new music off the groups forthcoming album, Push and Shove.

Sophie Muller, who previously worked with the band on their “Don’t Speak” and “Underneath It All” videos, says of the concept:

“The idea is they are all driving to meet after having had their separate lives over the last 10 years.” She adds, “It’s such a mix of cultures … We tried to do something that resembled different parts of the world rather than a specific place.”
