“Colours In The Sky” is the second single off Miami Horror‘s long awaited forthcoming sophomore album, coming just days after the release of their official video for “Real Slow“. I have to admit that I’m a bit chafed at the Australian troupe for their new single featuring Cleopold. Why, you ask? Well, it has nothing to do with the hip swaying, du-wop vibes that drip from the synth pop track. No, sir. Instead, it makes me desperately crave, and supremely jealous of, warm skies enriched with the vibrant colors of summer. Long gone are those saturated views as Chicago slips into the grey monotones of winter for the next few months. Why couldn’t you guys just tease me with the depressing sounds of winter, instead? So thanks, Miami Horror, for cruelly dangling imagery of exotic perfection just out of my reach. I suppose I will just have to listen to “Colours In The Sky” on repeat until I can will some hues of blue and yellow back into the atmosphere.
The single is already up for purchase on iTunes or you can snag a 7″ vinyl copy via Neon Gold Records, which also includes the single “Real Slow” on the B-Side.
