I had the opportunity to catch Zeds Dead‘s bass rattling performance last week during the 2013 Spring Awakening Music Festival, and while their set was a massive force of crushing sound, I’m left wondering whether or not this remix was included. It’s as if the deep vibrations coming from their speakers left my memory a bit shaken. Either way, the Canadian dubstep duo has just dropped a massive drum and bass remix of Nina Simone‘s class single “Don’t Let Me Be Missunderstood” (a track the Lil’ Wayne once transformed with alarming success.) While the duo’s remix has elements of their harder, edgier style built into the drop, the track remains fairly recessive under Nina’s soulful vocals. Don’t let that detract you from listening, however, as the mix still packs a punch, so enjoy below!
