Eptic

Dirty dubstep is my bread and butter. So when the eccentric fellow known at Eptic dropped his long-awaited Doom EP on Never Say Die Records earlier this week, I had to take notice. I mean, the kid’s been completely obliterating the EDM universe for a couple years now and this 19 year-old Belgium bass sensation has already become one of the premier names in the dubstep game. Between these four original tracks and a VIP remix from Habstrakt, you’ll have plenty of new tunes to try out.

The mischievous “Gun Finga” is first to grace our ears. Immediately overwhelmed by the appetizing mixture of playful synths and bone-bruising bass, this cockamamie banger leaves no man (or woman) standing. Then we hop on over to his collaboration with other well-known dubstep madman, MUST DIE!. “Z” is one for the ages! Put this song down in the history books, because it’s not everyday that you get to witness two bass experts exhibit pure dominance on a track.

Ok, so who’s ready for a change of pace? Because your leisurely stroll is about to turn into full-on wind sprints when “Watch Yo Back” drops. This drum & bass butt-kicker will wipe the floor with you! If your body’s not sore and aching by the end of this one, you didn’t go nearly hard enough. And let’s be honest, this EP wouldn’t be complete without a classic-sounding Eptic heatseeker? That’s where “Genesis” steps into the spotlight – a rip-roaring, soul-shattering, headbanging phenomena, it’ll undoubtedly leave you tattered to pieces. To wrap things up, Habstrakt supplies the perfect track to unwind too. After all those exhausting twists and turns, his house remix of “Danger” really hits the spot. He’s still one of the biggest bosses on the block, it’s new EPTIC!
